Border Patrol’s latest report highlights the continuous surge of illegal immigrants entering the US under the Biden administration, including those on the terror watch list. Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL)’s presidential campaign will unveil its approach to resolve the crisis at the southern border, with an event scheduled on Monday at Eagle Pass, Texas. Furthermore, DeSantis will participate in a border ride-along on Sunday night as part of the campaign’s preview. Townhall received a statement from DeSantis’ campaign spokesman Andrew Romeo, acknowledging President Joe Biden’s faltering leadership and emphasizing DeSantis’ promise to secure the border and reinstate US sovereignty. Romeo stated that DeSantis “will stop the invasion and secure the border once and for all, and there will be no excuses.”

DeSantis, who has prioritized his aim to secure the southern border, becoming clear way ahead of announcing his presidential campaign, had vowed to be the first administration to put an end to illegal immigration. The governor emphasized his commitment, stating that “we are going to build a border wall, we’re going to end mass migration, and we are going to hold the Mexican drug cartels accountable.”

The article pointed out that DeSantis had established a national coalition of 90 sheriffs from multiple states to protect Americans from the crisis and demanded the federal government to fulfill its obligations to secure the southern border.
DeSantis’ commitment to securing the southern border and his plans to do so are both clear and essential. Since Biden took office, America’s borders have been in crisis, and the current government has failed to address the issue. The illegal infiltration of immigrants and the rise of crimes due to the crisis require immediate action and remediation.
