House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan has accused the Department of Justice (DOJ) of protecting President Joe Biden by allegedly allowing Hunter Biden's alleged tax crimes in 2014 and 2015 to go unpunished. Jordan made these accusations on Fox News, expressing suspicion about the decision to let the statute of limitations lapse for those tax years when much of Hunter Biden's income from Burisma was received.
The accusations come ahead of the closed-door testimony of former U.S. attorney Lesley Wolf, who played a role in the decision and recently resigned after IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley testified that she limited questioning related to Biden and any references to him as "dad" or "the big guy."
Jordan: It's Clear Why DOJ Let Hunter Biden's Alleged 2014-15 Tax Crimes Go

Jordan suggested that investigating Burisma could unravel connections to the White House and emphasized the significance of the 2014 and 2015 tax charges, stating that they could implicate the former vice president.
During the Fox News interview, Jordan labeled the DOJ's handling of the investigation as an effort to cover up and conceal the truth. He outlined four fundamental facts concerning the Bidens and Burisma, emphasizing Hunter Biden's role on the energy company's board and Joe Biden's subsequent involvement in pressuring the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor investigating Burisma.
Jordan pointed out that IRS whistleblowers Shapley and Joseph Ziegler believed Hunter Biden should have been charged for tax crimes for the years 2014 and 2015, but the DOJ chose not to do so. The DOJ has recently charged Hunter Biden with not paying at least $1.4 million in federal taxes for the years 2016 through 2019.
These accusations by Jordan raise concerns about potential political favoritism and corruption, and the case could have far-reaching implications. The pursuit of truth in this matter is considered vital.
