The White House is known for its carefully crafted press briefings and photo ops with world leaders, but what goes on behind the scenes? Well, if the recent meeting between Joe Biden and the president of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, is any indication, it’s not looking good for Biden. While Abinader spoke confidently and without reliance on notes, Biden stumbled his way through the meeting, slurring his words and even getting the Canadian Prime Minister’s name wrong. It’s embarrassing, to say the least.

But the real kicker came at the end of the meeting when Abinader mentioned the next Summit of the Americas in 2025, which will be held in Punta Cana. With a sly smile, Abinader quipped that Biden would have plenty of time to be on the beach. Ouch! It’s no secret that Biden has a reputation for spending a lot of time at the beach, and Abinader’s comment hit home. It’s just another example of Biden’s weak leadership and lack of focus.
Unfortunately for Biden, his beach vacations are not the only issue he’s facing. Recent polls show him in deep trouble in critical battleground states like Michigan, as well as with Arab Americans. It seems that even traditional Democratic voters are starting to walk away from him. Could this be a sign of things to come in 2024? It certainly seems that way. World leaders are not blind to Biden’s weaknesses, and neither are the voters. They’ll be making their voices heard in the next election, and it doesn’t look good for Biden’s chances of being in the White House for that Summit in Punta Cana.
