On Wednesday, former Special Counsel John Durham appeared before the House Judiciary Committee, and unsurprisingly, the Democratic members of the committee used the opportunity to try to attack him, his report, and the investigation into the supposed “Russian collusion” and former President Donald Trump. Representative Steve Cohen (D-TN) got into a heated exchange with Durham over the infamous meeting between Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, and two Russians, where the Democrats alleged they discussed “dirt” on Hillary Clinton. Cohen claimed that the meeting was about sanctions and trying to get rid of the Magnitsky Act, and that Mueller had explored it, but Durham’s investigation had not.
Durham, however, didn’t play into Cohen’s game. He stayed true to his assigned task of investigating the conduct of the intelligence community agencies and didn’t conduct a separate investigation that was done by the House or Senate or was done by Director Mueller. Cohen continued his rant insisting that Durham was involved in a setup that helped Trump and hurt the Bidens. Cohen even went personal and attacked Durham’s reputation, but Durham responded calmly, saying that he only cared about his reputation with the people he respected, his family, and his Lord.
Rep. Steve Cohen gets triggered that Special Counsel Durham wouldn't investigate something that was outside of the purview of his investigation.

It was quite clear that Cohen and his Democrat colleagues were trying their best to undermine Durham and his report, but at the end of the day, Durham didn’t play into their petty political games. He remained focused and did his job with integrity. It’s a shame that the Democrats can’t accept Trump’s victory and move on. It’s time for them to put their energy into something more productive than trying to dig up dirt on a former President who is no longer in office.
