Elliot Page’s “Attack”: Hoax or Truth? Smollett Tie Raises Eyebrows

“Actor Elliot Page” is claiming a “transphobic” attack on her while walking in Los Angeles. According to Page’s new book, a man approached her and yelled, “I’m going to f—ing gay bash you, f—t,” before chasing her into a nearby convenience store. However, there are questions surrounding the allegations. Given the frequency of false claims of this type, it’s fair to wonder if Page’s account is entirely true. The fact that Page supported Jussie Smollett and blamed Mike Pence for the infamous hoax has also been called into question.

Most of the media, of course, are taking Page’s story as gospel and not asking the necessary questions. It’s impossible to ignore the lack of corroborating witnesses or Page’s failure to file a police report, despite allegedly being fearful for her life. Even the workers at the convenience store, who supposedly witnessed the man’s death threat about a gun, failed to call the police. It leaves one to wonder who exactly is telling the truth here.

It’s telling that Page’s account conveniently fits the left’s agenda too perfectly. It certainly raises questions about whether the incident even occurred, and the fact that a hoax cannot be ruled out means we cannot take these claims at face value. Nevertheless, it’s not outside the realm of possibilities for a crazy person to accost Page given the current state of Los Angeles. The truth remains to be seen, but in the meantime, we ought to be skeptical of claims that perfectly align with a political narrative.
