The outspoken and controversial tech billionaire Elon Musk left NBC host Andrew Ross Sorkin dumbfounded with his recent no-holds-barred remarks regarding the ongoing advertiser boycott aimed at X, the social network formerly known as Twitter. In response to Sorkin’s questions about his trip to Israel and the backlash he faced online, Musk addressed the left-wing advertiser boycott head-on. He didn’t hold back his disdain for the companies involved, firmly telling them to stop advertising on X and bluntly adding, “go f**k yourself.”
The controversy stemmed from a post made by Musk last week, in which he expressed agreement with a user’s comment about “Jewish communities” endorsing anti-white initiatives. Musk clarified that he was specifically targeting groups like the ADL for their hypocrisy. He accused the ADL of unfairly labeling certain statements as “hateful” or “racist,” while demanding repercussions for antisemitism. Musk made it clear that he was not backing down from his stance.
In the face of criticism and pressure from left-wing watchdogs and advertisers, Musk remained defiant. He vehemently denied the allegations of racism and antisemitism on X, even filing a lawsuit against Media Matters for allegedly doctoring screenshots and manipulating X’s algorithm.
When confronted about the potential economic impact of losing advertisers, Musk didn’t mince words. He acknowledged that losing advertisers could indeed “kill the company,” but he made it clear that he was prepared to document and expose the advertisers responsible for the downfall.
