Recent revelations concerning the investigation of Hunter Biden have brought to light the close association between Alexander Mackler and the Biden family. According to a report by Sarah Bedford from The Washington Examiner, Mackler served in various capacities, such as press secretary in Joe Biden's Senate office, legal counsel in his vice presidential office, and manager of Beau Biden's successful campaign for Delaware attorney general in 2010. He even played a role in shaping the blueprint for the Justice Department under the Biden administration as part of the Biden-Harris transition team in 2020.

The extent of Mackler's proximity to the Bidens is quite astonishing, as evident from his frequent correspondence with Hunter Biden. In an email dated October 2018, he even referred to Hunter as his "brother." The fact that Mackler was employed by U.S. attorney David Weiss, who oversaw the investigation into Hunter Biden, raises questions about potential conflicts of interest.

Bedford's report also highlights some ironic email statements made by Mackler concerning the Biden family and their businesses. On his first day at the Delaware U.S. attorney's office, Mackler exchanged emails with Hunter Biden and one of his business partners about the office's email retention policy, leading to a playful remark about it being the last email Mackler would ever receive.
Furthermore, Mackler's continued involvement with the Bidens even after joining the U.S. attorney's office is troubling. He was involved in editing public statements for the launch of an institute in Joe Biden's name at the University of Delaware. Additionally, in August 2016, Mackler expressed his opinion on public perception regarding Hillary Clinton's work with the Clinton Foundation, emphasizing the importance of distinguishing between post-office financial gains and benefiting from government power.
The revelation of Mackler's connections and his role in the investigation raises concerns about the impartiality and integrity of the case. The lack of media coverage on this matter further accentuates potential bias and the reluctance to hold the Biden administration accountable. It seems there may be double standards in reporting on scandals, depending on political affiliations.
