Another whistleblower has accused the FBI of threatening to fire employees who criticized the agency's handling of the January 6 Capitol riot and the BLM riots. This revelation comes after other individuals came forward to reveal the agency's political and biased behavior.
Another whistleblower claims that Paul Abbate, the Deputy Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, threatened to fire employees who questioned the agency's response to the George Floyd riots and the Capitol riot in 2020.
During a video conference call with the agency's special agents, Abbate reportedly told them that some of the investigators were questioning the response to the protests, which happened on January 6. According to the whistleblower, Abbate then told the audience that those who criticize the FBI's actions should find another job.
It's widely believed that the FBI has a different approach when it comes to handling riots compared to other cases. For instance, during the Portland riots, which lasted for over a hundred days, the agency arrested more than 200 people, but most of them were not prosecuted. In Donald Trump's inauguration, similar instances resulted in the arrests of more than 200 individuals, but only a few of them were prosecuted.
In response to the allegations, the FBI released a statement saying that Abbate has always treated his employees with dignity and respect. However, the attorney for the whistleblower noted that many of the individuals who were arrested during the January 6 riots lost their jobs.

In total, 277 individuals were sentenced to jail time, while 113 received home confinement. In 2020, over 570 riots occurred across the country, which caused over $2 billion in property damage. There were more than 300 cases involving people who were convicted of federal offenses, such as arson and rioting.
It's clear that the FBI needs an investigation into its handling of certain cases and actions. If the American people elect a new president and the congress cleans itself out, then the FBI will finally have the chance to do better.
