The Biden-Harris administration faced yet another setback on Thursday, suffering a significant defeat in the federal court regarding its not-so-brilliant idea of granting amnesty to a staggering half a million illegal migrants. The plan, reminiscent of a bad movie script, was declared unlawful by a federal judge in the Eastern District of Texas.
The executive order in question was aimed at giving a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants who somehow managed to snag an American spouse. Attorney General Ken Paxton of Texas, along with a group of other daring GOP Attorneys General, took up the mantle to challenge this executive overreach. The ruling didn’t just stop a misguided program; it showcased the lengths to which the Biden administration has gone to undermine America’s immigration system and disregard its borders.
Gene Hamilton from America First Legal, the organization spearheading the legal challenge, made it clear that from the get-go, this administration has been relentless in its efforts to tear down the very framework that keeps our immigration process intact. He commended the concerted efforts of Texas and its fellow states, heralding their brave stance against a program that could have resulted in the largest administrative amnesty in American history. This court ruling serves as a reminder that some states are not just red in color but are also boldly standing up for the rule of law.
Biden/Harris keep trying despite the courts' decisions barring this. Despicable of you, @POTUS @VP.

The ill-fated executive order, which was first revealed during a White House event celebrating the 12-year anniversary of DACA, attempted to introduce the Keeping Families Together program. According to the Biden administration’s ill-conceived notion, illegal aliens married to U.S. citizens could apply for permanent residency without leaving the country. Under existing law, there is a somewhat structured process that illegal immigrants must follow. They can apply for legal status after marrying a citizen, but they have to exit the country first – a little thing called following the rules.
To sweeten the deal, Biden’s plan proposed to extend “parole-in-place,” allowing illegal migrants to stick around while they processed their applications for citizenship. The administration boasted that this would help close to half a million illegal immigrants, although some estimates from more reliable sources suggested it might actually impact over a million. It’s almost like the White House is that kid who insists they can win a race while still dragging a suitcase full of bricks.
Following the initial hiccup in August when the courts temporarily halted the program, Biden promised to fight on, because apparently, ignoring the law has become an Olympic sport in his administration. However, the latest ruling has put a nail in the coffin for this ludicrous idea, emphasizing that the Department of Homeland Security simply doesn’t have the authority to run such a program. One can only imagine what other harebrained schemes Biden and Harris might concoct next, but for now, this bureaucratic blunder is a win for conservative values and a reminder that the Constitution still holds weight in America.
