Over a decade ago, Barack Obama won Florida by a wide margin, and the Democratic Party had over 800,000 more registrations than the Republican Party. Although Republicans were still competitive due to the support from independents and the strong turnout, the registrations of the GOP increased during the DeSantis administration.
The Republican registration advantage had already reached six figures by early 2022. By Election Day, the advantage had grown even further, allowing the party to sweep the elections.
The red wave in Florida was a resounding success, with DeSantis winning by a wide margin. He was able to carry key demographic groups and turn several blue counties into red areas. The approaching 500,000 mark, which the Republicans hold, shows how successful they have been.
Through this case, Team DeSantis sought to emphasize the importance of electability in the general election. According to multiple polls, Trump is leading the Republican primary field, while Biden is in a statistical tie. Other polls show that Trump is ahead of Biden, but he is also trailing.
A new national survey revealed that the Republican Party has lost its support among voters. Also, the sentiment of the electorate regarding the former president has weakened following the investigations.
In spite of this, a recent poll shows that Ron DeSantis is maintaining his support from Republican-aligned voters, who are currently supporting him at 26%. Mike Pence, the former vice president, is at 9%, while Nikki Haley and other candidates are at 5% and 1% respectively.
The percentage of Republican-aligned voters who support Trump has decreased from 77% in May, to 67% now. Despite the growing number of people who are disgusted by his behavior, many of them still support him and are not convinced that his charges are disqualifying.
Despite the party's success in the past, the Florida Republican Party needs to learn from its mistakes and improve its performance in the future. In particular, it has been challenging to win key states and voting blocs in the past couple of years. Most of the country turned against Trump due to his false claims. Those who see this as an opportunity to make the same mistake again are not being kind to the Republican Party.

If the Republican Party wants to win the elections, it should focus on the truth instead of making false claims.
BREAKING: Florida Republicans now outnumber Democrats by just under 500,000 registered voters

The people who will be voting for the next governor of Florida believe that Trump lost the 2020 election. With that in mind, the campaign of Ron DeSantis is trying to make the case that Trump is not only a failed president but also a dangerous candidate for the state. He has been continuously attacking the conservative governance of Florida and the state's Republican establishment.
