The national organization for Black Lives Matter is absolutely fuming at a former Rhode Island BLM advocate who had the gall to endorse former President Donald Trump! Can you believe it? The nerve of some people!
So, here’s the scoop, folks: Trump went on his Truth Social page and gave a big shoutout to Mark Fisher, who claims to be a co-founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island. He even had the audacity to say he was “very honored to have his and BLM’s support.” Well, let’s just say that BLM wasn’t having any of that nonsense.
BLM and the Black Lives Matter Rhode Island PAC, which is a separate entity from Fisher’s group, didn’t hold back in their response. They called Fisher an “imposter” and dubbed the whole thing a “publicity stunt.” They even went so far as to say that the right-wing is just using “fringe” Black voices to prop up their own candidates. Clearly, they’re not mincing words here.
And if that wasn’t enough, BLM took to X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, to really lay into Trump. They straight up called him a “terrorist” who committed “treason” and tried to “subvert American democracy.”
Wow, talk about throwing some serious shade! But hey, can you blame them? The BLM organization is sticking to their guns and making it crystal clear that they want nothing to do with Trump or anyone associated with him. It’s a slam dunk of a statement, and they’re not backing down one bit.
