The former House Speaker, Newt Gingrich, is not holding back when it comes to his thoughts on the floundering Democratic Party and their current leader, President Joe Biden. On a recent appearance on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle, Gingrich tore into the Democrats, calling them “desperate” and likening their situation to the “South in 1860.”

Gingrich didn’t mince words when he discussed the downward spiral of Biden’s popularity in the polls. According to him, the Democrats are in a state of panic, with their so-called “hopeless” candidate, Joe Biden, facing dismal approval ratings. And, according to Gingrich, the Left’s desperation is only going to get worse as the situation continues to deteriorate.
The former House Speaker wasn’t shy about pointing out Biden’s poor performance with key Democratic voting groups, claiming that African Americans, Latinos, young Americans, and Asian Americans are all jumping ship and thinking that the Democrats are, in Gingrich’s words, “nuts.”
Gingrich didn’t stop there. He also took a jab at the Democratic Party, suggesting that they should ask Biden to step down, as any “reasonable” party would do. However, he dismissed the possibility of that happening, claiming that there’s no Democratic Party left to make such a demand. According to Gingrich, the Democrats are trapped in a situation where they cannot replace Biden, even though he’s “clearly beyond his due date,” because, as he put it, “in their particular universe, you cannot defeat a black woman,” referring to Vice President Kamala Harris.
But the real kicker is when Gingrich highlighted recent polls showing that former President Donald Trump, the GOP front-runner, is gaining ground with key voting groups that traditionally lean Democratic. According to Gingrich, Trump’s support among black and Hispanic voters has seen a substantial increase since the 2020 election, further fueling the Democrats’ anxiety.
Newt Gingrich’s fiery takedown of the Democrats and their struggling leader, Joe Biden, paints a dire picture for the Left. With their candidate floundering in the polls and key voting blocs slipping away, Gingrich’s assessment serves as a stark warning to the Democrats as they face an uphill battle in the upcoming election.
