When Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett accused Republicans of targeting “communities of color” by sending illegal immigrants from the border to so-called “sanctuary cities” like Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia, the GOP was quick to point out the absurdity of her claims. Crockett, who has become known for her progressive stances, took the opportunity during a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing to bash Republicans and drum up false accusations of racism.

In a classic display of partisan politics, Crockett alleged that Republicans were deliberately singling out African American-run cities with their immigration policies. She insinuated that the GOP’s actions were racially motivated and aimed at undermining Democratic leadership in these cities. Without offering any evidence to support her claims, Crockett went on to attack Republican leaders for their alleged racism and their supposed obstruction of resources to these cities.
Crockett’s attempt to shift blame from Democrat city leaders to Republicans was nothing short of a desperate political maneuver. She even brought rapper Cardi B into the mix, using the celebrity’s criticism of the migrant crisis to further push her unfounded claims. This shameless effort to distort the truth and deflect attention from the real issues at hand only served to highlight Crockett’s commitment to progressive rhetoric over substantive policy discussions.
Not content with her baseless accusations against Republicans, Crockett also took aim at Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) for calling out President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, for his “white privilege.” Crockett’s reaction to Mace’s comments, where she played the race card and disparaged Mace as ignorant of the concept of white privilege, showcased her commitment to stoking racial divisions for her own political gain.
In recent years, Crockett has made headline-grabbing appearances, including a viral moment during a Republican impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Her profane description of former President Donald Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago demonstrated her willingness to engage in sensationalism and political theater at the expense of honest, respectful debate. With her penchant for playing the victim and using divisive rhetoric, Crockett has cemented her reputation as a partisan agitator more interested in scoring politcal points than addressing the real concerns of her constituents.
