The zealous and valiant members of the House Education and Workforce Committee are giving Education Secretary Miguel Cardona a piece of their minds. These 25 gallant GOP warriors, led by the fierce Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC), have sent a befitting letter to Cardona, demanding that he get off his hindquarters and comply with a Trump-era executive order to combat despicable antisemitism.
These GOP stalwarts are fed up with the Department’s shilly-shallying and procrastination. Despite the executive order being in place since December 2019, the Department has been dragging its feet and twiddling its thumbs, neglecting to craft the necessary regulations to uphold the order’s directives. This kind of dilly-dallying is simply intolerable, especially with the surge of anti-Jewish hatred washing over American schools and college campuses.
House GOP urges Cardona to enforce 2019 executive order to fight antisemitism – Washington Examiner @dcexaminer https://t.co/Lvn6odzOiZ

Former President Donald Trump’s Executive Order 13899, signed on Dec. 11, 2019, is a beacon of righteousness, directing federal agencies to crack down on discrimination against Jews under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. It’s about time that this executive order is upheld and celebrated for its commitment to justice and equality. After all, discrimination against our Jewish brothers and sisters is as abominable as any other form of discrimination.
The House Republicans are firmly standing their ground, lambasting the Department for its “inaction on necessary and defensible rulemaking.” They are not buying into any excuses and want to see Secretary Cardona take action immediately. Their resounding message to Cardona is clear: stop dilly-dallying and start conforming with the directives of the executive order.
The Department of Education’s feeble attempt to placate the situation with a statement to the Washington Examiner is unconvincing. They claim to be “working tirelessly” to complete the rulemaking process, but actions speak louder than words. The House Republicans are not buying into this flimsy defense, and neither should the American people. It’s time for Cardona and the Department of Education to stop dragging their feet and take real, tangible steps to combat antisemitism in our schools and universities.
The brave GOP members of the House Education and Workforce Committee are not backing down. They are holding Secretary Cardona’s feet to the fire and demanding that he fulfills his duty to protect Jewish students from discrimination and harassment. It’s time to uphold the righteous executive order and stand up against the forces of hatred and bigotry. This is not the time for dawdling; it’s time for action, and the House Republicans are leading the charge.
