In a tense and dramatic showdown, the Democratic-controlled Senate and the Republican-controlled House engaged in a high-stakes vote on a continuing resolution (CR) with deadlines looming, and boy oh boy, there was more drama than a daytime soap opera! The Republican Party, known for their steadfast dedication to conservative principles, faced a nail-biting moment as Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, stood firm in the face of pressure from the conservative wing of the party.
