In a recent episode of her show, Blaze Media host Sara Gonzales responded to accusations of racism in a manner that was both fitting and appropriate. She had been criticized for calling Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett a “hood rat” and comparing her behavior to that of reality TV show guests. In her opening monologue on the show “The News and Why It Matters,” Gonzales addressed her critics without offering a formal apology.

Gonzales began by acknowledging cancel culture and humorously suggesting that this might be her last show. She then played a clip from a previous episode where she commented on Crockett’s performance during a Joe Biden impeachment inquiry hearing. In the clip, Crockett’s speech was nearly incoherent, and Gonzales mimicked her head movements and body language to emphasize her point. Gonzales criticized Crockett’s lack of professionalism and mentioned that she wouldn’t behave that way if she were in Congress.
Some individuals accused Gonzales of racism, with one person, Ryan Shead, even calling her a “racist piece of sh*t.” Gonzales reacted to these accusations by sarcastically apologizing for having to call out women in Congress who act like “hood rats.” She expressed her frustration with leftists who dish out insults but can’t handle being called a “hood rat.” Gonzales made it clear that her criticism was directed at the behavior, not the race of the individual. She also took a playful jab at Ryan, commenting on his appearance.
In her response to her online critics, Gonzales maintained her strong conservative stance and avoided giving a traditional apology.
