In the great Commonwealth of Virginia, there’s never a dull moment when it comes to elections. Just ask Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin, who knows that there’s no “off year” for politics. After his own successful election in 2021, Youngkin is now dedicated to helping fellow Republicans in the 2022 midterms and ensuring that the House of Delegates remains under conservative control. But it seems that the liberal elites, including none other than Hillary Clinton, are determined to meddle in Virginia’s affairs.

Hillary, always eager to stay relevant, took to Twitter to declare, “There are no off-years!” Well, thanks for stating the obvious, Hillary. She even tagged a bunch of left-wing organizations that are all hoping to flip the state House. It’s no surprise that she would try to butt in and exert her influence, but Virginians know better than to listen to her misguided advice.

In her tweet, Hillary also shared an article from the leftist Daily Kos, a known bastion of progressive propaganda. Although the piece gets some facts wrong, it does provide a preview of what’s at stake. The Daily Kos claims that Youngkin is limited to just one term as governor, but they conveniently forget to mention that he can run for reelection in the future. It’s just that he can’t run for consecutive terms. But accuracy is clearly not their strong suit.
The article also mentions Youngkin’s well-funded campaign, but they fail to mention that all 19 of his endorsed candidates for the House of Delegates won their primaries earlier this month. That’s right, folks, this governor knows how to back winners. He’s assembling a strong team of conservatives who will fight for our values and ensure that Virginia remains a beacon of liberty.
But perhaps the most important factor in this upcoming election is the redistricting of Virginia’s legislative maps. The so-called “bipartisan” Redistricting Commission failed miserably in their task, leaving it up to the state Supreme Court to appoint consultants to draw the boundaries. And surprise, surprise, this has led to some Republicans finding themselves on bluer turf, and some Democrats experiencing the reverse. Yet another example of the utter failure of the left’s attempts at governance.
Now, it’s no secret that the House of Delegates races are crucial because the Democrats only need to win three seats to regain control. It’s a smaller number compared to previous elections, but every conservative knows that complacency is not an option. We must rally behind Governor Youngkin and remind voters of the tremendous progress made during his tenure.
Despite the left’s best efforts to discredit Youngkin, a May poll from Roanoke College showed that he still enjoys majority support at 51 percent. That’s no small feat, especially considering the relentless attacks from his opponents. But we can’t let our guard down. Anything can happen in politics, and we need to stay vigilant and work hard to ensure Republican victories in November.
In the end, it’s clear that Glenn Youngkin is a force to be reckoned with. He’s a prolific ally who has used his wealth and influence to help down-ballot Republicans. In fact, his leadership was instrumental in wresting control of the House of Delegates away from the Democrats in 2021. Youngkin’s commitment to conservative principles and his dedication to Virginia make him an indispensable asset in the fight for Republican control.
As for Hillary and her cronies, their attempts to interfere in Virginia’s elections are nothing more than desperate ploys to regain power. Virginians know better than to trust the same liberal elites who have failed us time and time again. We will not be swayed by their empty promises and divisive tactics.
So let the liberals trend “Virginians” on Twitter and hurl insults at Hillary’s scandals. We will continue to focus on the issues that truly matter – protecting our conservative values, championing economic growth, and ensuring a brighter future for all Virginians. With Governor Youngkin by our side, we can overcome any obstacle and keep Virginia red.
