The recent box office flop “The American Society of Magical Negroes” has proven once again that Hollywood’s woke agenda is a surefire way to alienate audiences and lose money faster than a cat can sprint away from a bath!
Hey, does anyone still remember when movies were about swashbuckling heroes and epic adventures, instead of pandering to political correctness? Ah, the good old days!
Film About 'Dangerous' White People Ends Run Only 3 Weeks in, Suffered Massive Financial Losses via @WestJournalism https://t.co/BlxOWVEzyB

The film’s racially-charged plot about a secret society of black Americans dedicated to appeasing white people was sure to drum up controversy, but who could’ve guessed that it would lead to such a colossal failure at the box office? Well, perhaps anyone with an ounce of common sense and a healthy skepticism of Hollywood’s virtue signaling.
After a pitiful 21-day theatrical run – way shorter than the average for successful films – “The American Society of Magical Negroes” faded into obscurity faster than a Hollywood actress’s apology for a tone-deaf social media post. And to add insult to injury, the film’s financials were as dismal as a rainy day in Seattle.
Reports estimate the film had a budget of $15 to $20 million, but it only raked in a measly $2.48 million worldwide. Even if the budget was a more modest $10 million, the film still would’ve tanked like a lead balloon.
And it’s not just the financials that are cringe-worthy; the critical reception wasn’t much to write home about either. With a rotten 28 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s safe to say that critics weren’t charmed by this woke disaster either.
Perhaps this whole fiasco will finally serve as a wake-up call to Hollywood that audiences want to be entertained, not preached to. But hey, when pigs fly, right?
Until Tinseltown ditches its preachy, woke agenda and goes back to making movies that people actually want to see, they’ll continue to suffer the consequences in the form of abysmal financial performances and empty theater seats. Keep it up, Hollywood! You’re doing a heck of a job.
