President Biden’s son Hunter Biden has agreed to testify at a public hearing in response to a GOP subpoena, totally brave move! In a letter to the panel, Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, called out the Oversight and Accountability Committee for being super politically motivated and trying to start a fishing expedition into the Biden family’s super boring business deals. Mr. Lowell was like, “Hunter will totally answer all your lame questions at a public hearing, but no way is he doing it behind closed doors.”
The Oversight panel wanted Hunter Biden to give a private deposition, but he’s like, “Nah, I’m all about that public spotlight!” The panel wants to ask Hunter about his foreign business deals and what his dad had to do with them. Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden must have been raking in the cash from Ukraine, China, Russia, and more, using their relationship with Mr. Biden while he was vice president and after. So scandalous, right?
Chairman James Comer was not having it and said, “Hunter Biden is trying to play by his own rules instead of following the rules required of everyone else. That won’t stand with House Republicans.” You tell ‘em, Comer!

The committee is all on Hunter Biden’s case, trying to link him to his dad and his business deals. They’re even going after Biden’s brother James Biden and several other family members, like they’re just on a witch hunt. The committee has been holding a bunch of closed-door depositions with Biden’s business associates and getting info from IRS whistleblowers who were investigating Hunter Biden for tax fraud.
One witness even claimed that Hunter Biden and some Ukrainian gas company dudes called then-Vice President Biden asking for help, and surprise, surprise, the prosecutor investigating the gas company ended up getting forced out. Mr. Biden claims he had zero involvement in his family’s business deals, but who knows with those sneaky politicians, right?
In the letter to the committee, Mr. Lowell totally went off on them, pointing out that the panel has zero evidence linking Hunter Biden’s biz deals to his dad, and was like, “You guys are ignoring everything Trump and his family have done!” Lowell also said, “If you think the public needs to know about this, then shine a light on these proceedings!”, jabbing at the panel for not being transparent.
The whole thing is so dramatic and complicated, but really, it just sounds like the GOP and the Oversight panel are out for blood when it comes to the Biden family. Let’s just hope this hearing is as juicy as it sounds!
