ICE Nabs Illegal Immigrant Accused of Child Rape in Massachusetts

Deportation officers caught an illegal immigrant who sneaked into the United States and reportedly harmed a young person in Massachusetts, as per federal immigration authorities. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents captured Yader Alexander Morales-Queved, a 24-year-old person from Guatemala accused of harming a young individual in Bristol County. The agency mentioned that Morales-Queved entered the country unnoticed and unmonitored at an undisclosed time and location without going through federal immigration officials’ procedures, labeling him as a “gotaway.”

The Boston ICE office’s Field Office Director, Todd Lyons, emphasized the seriousness of the charges against Morales-Queved and highlighted the danger he posed to children in Massachusetts communities. Lyons affirmed the commitment of the Boston ICE office to ensuring public safety by detaining and deporting severe noncitizen offenders from New England neighborhoods.

Morales-Queved faced arraignment in the New Bedford District Court in August 2022 for the crime of raping a minor, with the charges later being raised to the Superior Court as revealed by ICE. In January 2023, Morales-Queved appeared before the Bristol County Superior Court for charges of “rape of a child and for a child in nude, lascivious pose/exhibit.” The Guatemalan national will be kept in ERO custody until the conclusion of his deportation proceedings.

The latest arrest is part of a series of apprehensions in New England highlighted by ICE, including a case in which Rhode Island authorities released an illegal immigrant accused of assaulting an individual with a significant mental handicap without honoring an ICE detainer. The number of known getaways has surged under the Biden administration, with over 1.6 million recorded getaways in the span of fiscal years 2021 to 2023, surpassing the figures from the Trump and Obama administrations.

These incidents underscore the need for strong border security measures and enforcement of immigration laws to prevent such dangerous individuals from entering and harming communities in the United States. The administration’s lax approach to border control has led to a significant increase in illegal entries and criminal activities committed by undocumented individuals. Enforcement agencies like ICE play a crucial role in safeguarding American neighborhoods and upholding the rule of law to protect innocent citizens from harm.
