It’s Time to Take Away Biden’s Keys for His Safety and Ours

Getting old is tough, and it is even tougher watching someone you love go through the same aging process. Father Time can be a real jerk sometimes. Just four years ago, we lost my Dad to Alzheimer’s, and it was a challenging and heartbreaking journey. Luckily, his symptoms didn’t show up until he was in his early 80s, but those years leading up to his diagnosis were still filled with difficulty.

Eventually, the time came when we had to take away his car keys for his safety and for the safety of others. Surprisingly, he didn’t put up much of a fight. He had convinced himself that it was because of his pacemaker. Even after explaining that wasn’t the case, we decided to drop it. He accepted the change in roles, and our family adapted.

Now, let’s talk about Joe Biden. We don’t know his official diagnosis yet, but there’s no denying that it’s time to take away his keys, too. Of course, he doesn’t see it. He’s always had a fuzzy sense of self, and it’s only gotten worse with age. And let’s be honest, the people closest to him haven’t done much to help in that department either.

It’s a difficult situation, no matter how you slice it. But it’s necessary to prioritize his safety and the safety of others. It’s a sad reality, but sometimes tough decisions must be made.
