Jill Biden apparently fancies herself a modern oracle, claiming in a hurried Vogue chat that her husband Joe will always act in the nation’s best interest. The statement came right after a debate where “Sleepy Joe” Biden once again showed that the lights are on but nobody’s home. Jill’s confidence in her husband’s decision-making abilities is touching, especially considering his track record of nonsensical blunders and memory lapses that are more frequent than a California power outage.
Of course, there’s an amusing irony here. Jill Biden assures the American people that Joe will always put the country first, but let’s get real: stepping down surely isn’t part of that plan. It’s as if the Bidens believe clinging onto power is their patriotic duty, even if the ship they’re navigating is heading straight for an iceberg. America deserves leadership, not a lifetime membership to the Biden gaffe factory.

Meanwhile, conservatives everywhere continue to scratch their heads in disbelief. How can a man who barely knows what day it is be expected to steer the country through these tumultuous times? The far-left progressives seem to have constructed a reality distortion field around Joe Biden, and it looks like Jill is the latest to sign up for a full membership.
A real leader knows when it’s time to step aside for the good of the nation. But judging by Jill Biden’s remarks, they have no intention of doing what’s truly best for the country: handing the reins to someone who’s compos mentis. Instead, they’ll keep putting on the weary charade that Joe’s got everything under control, all while ignoring the glaring signs that he’s in way over his head.
Once again, the Democratic leadership demonstrates that their priorities lie more with maintaining power than with genuine public service. Jill Biden can profess her husband’s supposed selflessness all she wants, but actions speak louder than words. And so far, the actions of Mr. Biden and his entourage suggest a deep commitment to one thing above all: their own political survival.
