House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan is fighting back against the politically motivated attempts to attack former President Trump. Jordan recently sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding vital and essential information regarding the biased investigation into the former President. He warned of a possible partiality issue in the probe.

Jordan has highlighted Special Counsel John Durham’s report, which brought red flags to the GOP’s attention and revealed some damning information about the FBI’s misconduct. Durham’s report mentions the “failings” of the FBI and the institutional rot that pervades the agency. Jordan has called the FBI’s behavior scandalous and asked how they could attack someone without any real grounds.
The FBI has always been known to have a documented political bias towards conservatives. With the Durham report, it is clear that accountability and reforms are needed for the agency. Jordan has invited Durham to speak with the committee later this month and also requested Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco’s assistance.
Jordan, along with several other Republicans, is skeptical about possible interference by the FBI with the presidential election, given that Durham’s report shows that the agency tried to undermine voters in 2016.
Last week, the FBI Director Christopher Wray faced threats of surveillance charges. Still, the agency chief refused to hand over unclassified documents containing evidence of an illegal scheme involving President Joe Biden and a foreign national. However, the FBI eventually caved in and gave Biden documents’ reviewed by Congress.
Jordan has demanded that Garland explains the FBI’s actions by June 15. Biden’s administration needs to understand that the American people will fight back against any politically motivated attempts to attack Republicans. We hope that after Jordan’s letter, the Biden administration will operate with more transparency and honesty.
