“Just Stop Oil” clowns take their eco-terrorism to a new level by smashing a priceless painting with a hammer, and it’s time to put an end to their destructive antics. These so-called “protesters” made their way into the National Gallery in London and targeted “The Rokeby Venus,” a beautiful 17th-century work of art. With no regard for the cultural and historical significance of the painting, they repeatedly struck the glass protecting it until it shattered into pieces. It’s shocking to think that security did not intervene, especially considering the numerous past attacks by these eco-terrorists. Are Europeans just going to sit back and watch their heritage crumble under the weight of leniency towards those who oppose democracy?

The actions of these individuals demonstrate a complete disdain for the will of the people. These tyrants believe that their distorted and destructive views should override the democratic process, and they will only become more brazen in their acts if they are not stopped. The governments need to wake up and take these warning signs seriously.
The solution is simple: increase security measures and hold these criminals accountable. Having trained security personnel ready to tackle anyone attempting to damage artwork would be a good start. Those who commit such acts should be swiftly arrested and sentenced to several years in prison. It’s a proven fact that when criminals face real consequences, they are less likely to engage in criminal behavior. We’ve seen this when “Just Stop Oil” protesters faced serious legal action for their previous stunts, resulting in a decrease in their destructive activities. But when it comes to defiling art or destroying it with hammers, it seems like enforcement becomes lenient. We need to stop this before it escalates even further, and there’s no doubt that if left unchecked, “Just Stop Oil” will soon move on from hammers to explosives.
It’s time to take off the gloves and put an end to this madness. We can’t allow a group of eco-terrorists to continue wreaking havoc and causing irreparable damage. Let’s protect our cultural heritage and stand against these delusional tyrants who believe they can reshape the world according to their whims. Enough is enough.
