Kamala Harris aims to reshape Supreme Court with radical court-packing plans

Vice President Kamala Harris took to CNN’s town hall stage recently to unveil her radical plan for court adjustments that could make a game of musical chairs look like a conservative tradition. Harris broached the idea of increasing the number of justices on the Supreme Court to twelve in what can only be described as the ultimate attempt to reshape the judiciary in the Democrats’ image. While she didn’t explicitly use the term “court packing,” it was clear that if she were to win the presidency, her agenda would lead to a judicial jungle where justices are as reliable as the latest social media trend.

Harris claimed that public sentiment toward the Supreme Court is souring, but this assertion is more of a fairy tale than a reflection of reality. Surveys indicate that the real reason behind the left’s discontent is not so much the Supreme Court itself but the fact that its decisions sometimes don’t align with their liberal whims. In fact, since the Dobbs decision, the Supreme Court appears to be reigning in its popularity, far outpacing Congress, the presidency, and certainly the media—no surprise there. But, of course, why let facts mess with a good narrative?

As Harris dreams up her ambitions to pack the court with leftist ideologues, critics are raising alarms louder than a high school prom DJ. Legal experts and observers warn that if Harris’s scheme comes to fruition, the Supreme Court could become merely a rubber stamp for the radical left’s agenda, threatening the very liberties that Americans hold dear. It’s a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black: while she accuses former President Trump of authoritarian tendencies, she appears to be crafting her own recipe for an authoritarian state, which includes controlling the highest court in the land.

Moreover, digging into her toolbox for radical reforms, Harris has floated the idea of eliminating the Senate filibuster. This move would not only facilitate a swift passage of legislation that squares with the extreme leftist agenda but also lay the groundwork for statehood for DC and Puerto Rico, opening the door for more Democratic senators to pad the party’s influence. The left’s Un-American agenda appears unyielding, pushing for unrestricted, taxpayer-funded abortion up until birth—all cloaked in the guise of “progress.”

The culmination of her ambitions points to a future where the Supreme Court could be transformed from a body that interprets the law to one that merely enforces the Democratic National Committee’s talking points. This would be an unprecedented violation of the checks and balances that have been a cornerstone of American governance. As the country heads toward the November elections, voters may want to consider whether they’d prefer a nation that amplifies individual rights or one that embraces a radical overhaul dispensing with time-honored legal standards simply because it doesn’t fit into the Democratic playbook.
