Kamala Harris has managed to dodge more interviews than a cat avoiding a bath, while Donald Trump is not only doing interviews but also appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience. Why might that be? It seems the Vice President of the United States is caught between a lack of original thought and an overwhelming fear of exposing the vacant promises and questionable policies of her party. The American public can only hope to be free from the chain of “word salad” that Harris seems to relish, although there’s little doubt that this election season has provided plenty of material.
Under the Biden-Harris administration, one thing has become painfully clear: the ideology of progressivism focuses on the agenda itself, regardless of the disastrous outcomes that may ensue. Be it fiscal policy, border control, or international relations, the priority appears to be consolidation of power over practical or beneficial results. For Democrats and their followers, the outcomes of the policies they champion often become an afterthought, as they establish laws and mandates—relying on the idea that the next round of poorly crafted policy will miraculously fix everything.
It’s the typical misstep of the left—they can draft a radical policy without ever consulting the practicality of its application. And if a piece of legislation is birthed from their liberal loins, it is deemed noble purely by its origin. The added perk seems to be how infuriated it makes conservative Americans, a fact that they seem to take delight in. As a result, whatever chaos and havoc blossom from their policies can be brushed off with a carefree “whoops” and a move to the next line of progressive thinking.

Republican JD Vance recently took this very issue head-on during a town hall meeting in Harrisburg, pointing out that the Biden administration’s policies are all fun and games until children start going hungry. He made a bold statement about allowing biological males in girls’ sports and how it was certainly not fair to poor children who could lose their access to school lunches if their states don’t comply with federal demands. This situation certainly underlines the potential disaster lurking behind the charm of a government-funded meal.
The source of this potential dysfunction appears to be linked to a memo issued by the Biden-Harris Department of Agriculture back in May 2022. This peculiar document suggests that states not adopting transgender policies could find themselves facing frozen federal funding, including funds for school lunches. It’s a classic case of government overreach, as they hide their power games behind a veil of pseudo-concern for “equality.” If kids end up starving as a result, that’s just collateral damage in the war for a progressive agenda.
In a world where children are used as pawns in a bureaucratic chess game, it comes as no surprise that this administration appears unfazed while states struggle to play ball with their mandates. The concept of kids going hungry due to a stubborn state government rarely crosses the minds of those in the upper echelons of progressive leadership. Instead, they continue to obsess over their vision, all while ignoring the reality faced by those on the ground. There’s no denying that this situation raises more red flags than a communist party rally.
