Kamala Harris Prepares to Step Up as Biden Bows Out Low Approval Ratings Loom

Rumor has it that President Joe Biden is finally getting ready to bow out of the 2024 race as soon as this weekend, with Vice President Kamala Harris stepping up to the plate. But let’s be honest, does she even stand a chance?

Given her track record, the odds aren’t looking favorable for Harris. Her approval ratings are somehow even lower than Biden’s. A Politico-Morning Consult poll revealed that just three in five Democrat voters said they’d vote for her, with a meager 25 percent of independents ready to cast their ballot in her favor. Ouch.

Despite being more disliked than Biden, Harris checks enough identity politics boxes for the Democrats to consider her a viable candidate. She’s a woman, she’s black, and the left is more than eager to exploit these attributes to rally votes. But let’s not forget, her policies and actions are part and parcel of the mess the country currently faces. Americans aren’t quick to forget the financial strain they’re under or the loved ones lost due to Biden’s failure to secure the border.

Leadership and respect are areas where Harris falls short. Her speeches are bland and forgettable, often punctuated by an awkward cackle or finger-pointing when things go south. Assigned as the border czar, she’s become notorious for avoiding the border like it’s a New Year’s resolution gym membership—promised, but never actually executed. Her approach to governance is reminiscent of wallpaper: there, but not contributing much of anything.

Harris will likely go down in history as the “do nothing VP.” When faced with hard questions, her response is typically a mix of snark and deflection rather than substantial answers. An NBC News poll previously recorded her as the least popular vice president in its history, solidifying her reputation as underwhelming at best.

Trump’s advisor Jason Miller isn’t worried. According to him, Harris stepping in for Biden changes nothing for Trump’s campaign strategy. Whether it’s Biden, Harris, or any other liberal Democrat, they all share the blame for tanking the economy and failing at border security. House Speaker Mike Johnson echoed these sentiments, asserting that Trump commands enough momentum and support to overpower any Democrat nominee. Johnson emphasizes that this election isn’t about personalities—but policies. And on that front, Harris offers nothing new or improved.

In short, whether it’s Biden or Harris running against Trump, the result remains the same. Trump is primed to tackle any challenger the Democrats throw at him, with his campaign remaining steadfast in its course.
