Vice President Kamala Harris has rolled out her grand plan to tackle the so-called immigration crisis that has seemingly become a fixture on her and President Biden’s watch. Instead of addressing the chaos at the southern border by actually enforcing laws and securing the territory, she has opted for a solution that sounds like it came straight out of a poorly scripted reality show: import even more migrants.
During a recent chat with MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle, Harris was posed a distressingly relevant question about American communities that are buckling under the pressure of record-setting illegal immigration. This situation has left many towns and cities overwhelmed, but instead of seeking real solutions, Harris pointed to a bill from a bipartisan trio—Senators James Lankford, Chris Murphy, and Kyrsten Sinema—that would only exacerbate the problem by expanding immigration levels. Apparently, her idea of helping those communities is to throw open the doors even wider. It’s like a leaky boat where instead of patching it up, they’re just adding more seats for additional passengers.

The Vice President didn’t stop there; she proposed giving a free pass, or amnesty, to the staggering 11 to 22 million illegal aliens who are already navigating this country in the shadows, as if our existing communities aren’t struggling enough. According to Harris, this “comprehensive plan” aims to not only manage the border crisis but also create “pathways” to citizenship. Because nothing says “we care” like giving someone a fast-track pass through the legal system that millions of others have followed the hard way.
Data doesn’t lie—under Harris’s watchful eye, American communities have seen more than seven million migrants arrive, with a stunning 85 percent of those intercepted at the southern border being released into the wilds of the U.S. Why bother with enforcement when there’s a constant flow of new residents showing up for the proverbial block party? Is it any wonder that towns across the nation are sounding alarms?
If there were ever a moment when Americans needed clarity and decisive leadership on immigration, it’s now. Instead, they’re met with the promise of more of the same: boisterous promises of prosperity for newcomers while longstanding citizens are left wondering how their towns will handle even more newcomers. The Harris administration’s approach continues to push for solutions that sound idealistic, all while the practical issues of security, resources, and infrastructure get left in the dust.
