Kamala Harris has been riding a wave of Democratic disaster that would make even the most seasoned circus performer blush. From the chaos at the southern border to her latest green school-bus extravaganza, Harris continues to showcase a remarkable knack for turning sensible policies into spectacular failures. It’s almost a talent at this point. In 2022, Harris enthusiastically declared her love for the federal government’s green school-bus initiative, but as is often the case with government programs, the execution has been a comedy of errors.
The idea was simple: replace old, gas-guzzling school buses with shiny new electric ones, because nothing screams “progress” like relying on power sources that aren’t as reliable as a classic Ford pickup truck on a cold morning. Harris touted this initiative as a way to save the planet for the children, but unfortunately, the execution has been about as green as a rusted-out jalopy. In true Harris fashion, the focus on electric buses took precedence over more pressing school issues—like crumbling infrastructure and a lack of basic supplies in classrooms. The average American parent watching the fiasco unfold must be pinching themselves to see if it’s really happening. It’s a wonder that any educated child ever steps foot on a school bus considering how many of these government programs are getting derailed or left completely in the dust.
Ironically, Harris may have unintentionally showcased the exact reason why government should not be tasked with micromanaging local schools. Watching someone with such grand ambitions fumble time and time again is a lesson in why parents might want to keep their kids away from the class that features “Government 101: How Not to Solve Real Problems.” Ultimately, one wonders how many more green initiatives the Democrats can botch before they realize they are getting a collective “F” in practicality.
So, it seems the road to greener pastures is paved with incompetence and hubris, and Harris is just the latest symbol of these epic failures. With more green ambitions on the horizon, one can only watch with a mix of confusion, skepticism, and just a touch of laughter, wondering if the powers that be will ever truly learn from their mistakes.
