In response to more claims from former President Donald Trump about the 2020 election being rigged in Georgia, Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) set the record straight. Kemp took to social media to declare, “The 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen.” He emphasized that there has been no credible evidence of fraud presented in court, and he reaffirmed the security, accessibility, and fairness of Georgia’s elections. Kemp encouraged people to shift their focus to the future, stating, “The future of our country is at stake in 2024, and that must be our focus.” This strong statement from Kemp highlights his commitment to the truth and his dedication to upholding the integrity of the electoral process.
However, Trump responded to Kemp’s remarks by announcing a press conference where he plans to present a report detailing election fraud in Georgia during the 2020 presidential election. Trump claimed that this report would lead to a complete exoneration for himself and others. Trump’s campaign spokeswoman, Liz Harrington, also chimed in, criticizing Georgia’s election system and urging people to tune in on Monday to hear what Trump has to say.
