A group of House lawmakers is not holding back as they demand that Reuters come clean about their potential involvement in Hamas’s sneaky terrorist attack on Israel. The lawmakers are not amused and are pressing Reuters President Paul Pascobert to cough up some answers about the shocking allegations. It seems that a sly Reuters journalist, who was chilling with the terrorists, might have known about the devious attack in advance and kept their lips sealed.
These lawmakers aren’t beating around the bush. They even pointed out that the Hamas attack was “well-documented,” and guess what? Some of those documents involved journalists linked to Reuters News! Can you believe it? Outrageous!

You won’t believe what these lawmakers had to say in their letter to Reuters. Representative Mike Lawler, a Republican from New York, took the lead in this smackdown. They raised serious concerns about whether Reuters journalists had any sneaky inside info about the attack and if there’s any shady connection between Reuters and Hamas. Yikes!
When reached for comment, Reuters was as silent as a mouse. They didn’t immediately respond to the lawmakers’ demand for an explanation. Surprise, surprise. Of course, Reuters already denied having any advance knowledge of the attack, but who’s buying that?
The lawmakers didn’t stop there. They fired off a bunch of questions, getting right to the juicy stuff. They wanted to know how the journalist conveniently knew to be up and about during the early morning attack, and if they were buddy-buddy with Hamas before or during the raid. Talk about getting to the bottom of things!
But wait, there’s more! The watchdogs at HonestReporting also had a bone to pick with several freelance photojournalists from big shot news outlets like CNN and The New York Times. They grilled these news organizations about giving these freelancers the green light to cozy up to the scene of the brutal attack. Plus, they even dug up a photo of a CNN and AP freelancer getting cozy with a Hamas bigwig. Can you say scandalous?
Although the journalists weren’t named in the lawmakers’ letter, Reuters still had some explaining to do. They published photos of the attack taken by two photographers who just happened to be in the right place at the right time for Hamas’s little shindig. Coincidence? We think not!
HonestReporting tried to clear the air, but they couldn’t help but raise some serious stink about the ethical issues surrounding these news outlets’ involvement with these freelancers. It’s getting spicy in the world of journalism, folks!
