The liberal media loves to talk about how left-leaning district attorneys are all about social justice and criminal justice reform— but Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has shown that some of them can still take down actual criminals who have committed heinous crimes against children.

Jonathan Luna has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexually abusing a young boy over many years. Bragg expressed concerns that there may be more victims given Luna’s extensive employment history working in roles that put him in direct contact with children. Luna has worked as a counselor in schools, summer camps, and the Boy Scouts, and the Manhattan DA urged other potential victims to come forward.
While Boy Scouts of America revealed that there were no complaints filed against Luna during his work with the organization, the fact that he has been banned from participating with the organization “in any capacity” shows that there may have been some suspicions or red flags.
This monster’s abuse of a young child no doubt still haunts the child’s mother, who had trusted Luna as a babysitter for many years. Luna has received a prison sentence and will be subjected to strict rules and monitoring upon his release.
In a society where criminals are increasingly given slap on the wrist punishments and dangerous criminals are allowed to roam free thanks to “woke” prosecutors, it’s refreshing to see that there are still district attorneys committed to protecting children from harm and ensuring that those who commit such despicable crimes face justice.
