A group of about 150 ceasefire protesters caused chaos and violence when they tried to break into the DNC building in Washington, D.C. Videos of the incident show activists clashing with police officers, forcing the evacuation of the building to ensure the safety of members of Congress in attendance. U.S. Capitol Police described the protesters’ actions as “illegal and violent” and stated that six officers were injured in the altercation. Despite the clear evidence of violence, only one person was arrested, a man who assaulted two officers.

Ewa Borgwardt, the head of the leftist group IfNotNow, was present during the protest and continued her antics the next day. She attempted to berate Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) into calling for a ceasefire. However, Sherman was not interested in her whining and firmly stated that he supported a ceasefire only if Hamas released hostages and disarmed. Borgwardt disagreed, claiming that Hamas was being “empowered by siege and blockade.” Sherman insisted that disarmament was the only way forward, but Borgwardt questioned the strategy. It’s simple – call for them to disarm! Why should anyone agree to a ceasefire when Hamas continues to hold hostages and threatens the existence of Israel?
Borgwardt then tried to shift blame onto Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing them of planning to destroy Gaza and killing thousands of children. Her performance was nothing short of epic, but it won’t change anything. The decision lies with the Israelis, not with President Biden or the Democrats. No matter how much they complain or protest, it won’t sway the Israelis. They are focused on protecting their nation and its people.
