Leftists Celebrate, Face Backlash After Trump Assassination Attempt

So, the left was at it again, celebrating violence while pretending to condemn it. On Saturday, former President Donald Trump narrowly escaped an assassin’s bullet at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. A real American hero, Corey Comperatore, laid down his life protecting his family and Trump from the lunatic inspired by leftist rhetoric. Both Republicans and Democrats issued statements of condemnation – but, as always, some Democrats couldn’t hide their true colors.

Enter Rick Notari, your friendly neighborhood Community Outreach Manager from Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. When sports commentator Rich Eisen praised the Secret Service for their protection of Trump, Notari jumped in with an appalling statement wishing the assassination attempt had succeeded. Classy, right? This kind of behavior from a government employee whose salary is funded by taxpayer dollars has no place in civilized discourse.

Notari wasn’t alone in his vile commentary; Libs of Tiktok wasted no time exposing his disgusting post, and the heat was on. Notari was “indefinitely suspended” from his cushy government job, thanks to public outrage and a bit of common sense. Ordinary folks demand accountability, especially when someone in a taxpayer-funded position celebrates the near-murder of a former president.

But wait, there’s more! Notari’s suspension wasn’t the only fallout from this debacle. Tony Bendele, a firefighter from Sunbury, Pennsylvania, thought it wise to lament that Trump’s ear was only clipped and not obliterated by the bullet. This hero’s celebration of violence didn’t go unnoticed, and he quickly resigned. Once again, another leftist reaps what he sowed.

Now, the leftists will scream “cancel culture,” but let’s get real. Cancel culture is not about facing repercussions for repulsive, violent rhetoric. It’s about punishing someone for past deeds or innocent opinions that the radical leftists don’t like. Wishing death upon a former president isn’t “disagreeable speech,” it’s incitement – and it deserves every bit of backlash it gets.

Real Americans know the difference between calling someone out for truly despicable behavior and silencing someone because their views don’t fit the progressive narrative. So, let’s be clear – Rick Notari and Tony Bendele, you’ve got everything you deserved. Your positions came with a responsibility, which you spectacularly failed. It’s time the left learns that crossing the line has consequences.
