In a recent interview with Breitbart News, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) raised concerns about the actions of United States Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas regarding the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Greene highlighted the miraculous survival of Trump, noting how he turned his head at the precise moment, narrowly escaping a bullet that grazed his ear. She emphasized that it was a divine intervention witnessed by all. However, Greene quickly shifted the focus to the issue she believes is destroying our country: the border invasion and illegal immigration.
Drawing attention to a moment during Trump’s rally, Greene mentioned that he was discussing the border invasion and had a chart displaying the spike in illegal immigration under the Biden administration. She then pointed out that Mayorkas, the individual responsible for these policies, also oversees the U.S. Secret Service. Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle chimed in, noting that the Secret Service canceled a scheduled briefing to the Oversight Committee on the assassination attempt.

At this point, Greene expressed her concerns about Mayorkas and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) controlling the flow of information. She accused Mayorkas of interfering and limiting the information that should be reaching the oversight and homeland security committees. According to Greene, Mayorkas and these agencies have a track record of covering up information and creating their preferred narrative.
Greene further expressed her belief that the Biden administration and the intelligence community are working together to build a narrative of their choosing. She adamantly stated that the current Republican Party is not the same as it once was and vowed to challenge the administration and its narrative every step of the way. Greene assured viewers that when Republicans regain control of the White House in November, they will dismantle these agencies and remove individuals in the Deep State who have allegedly lied to the American people for decades.
In Greene’s view, the actions of Mayorkas and the DHS are part of a larger problem that needs to be addressed. She believes ending this cycle of manipulation and deceit is crucial to the country's future.
