In a recent interview with Fox Business host Larry Kudlow, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) shared his consideration of launching an impeachment probe against the Biden administration when Congress returns from recess. McCarthy drew parallels between the current administration’s actions and those of the Richard Nixon administration, which faced impeachment hearings before the former president’s resignation.

The fiery Californian lawmaker expressed his concerns over the administration’s refusal to provide Congress with necessary documents and witnesses related to their probe into allegations of influence peddling by President Biden. McCarthy voiced his astonishment, stating, “Larry, I have never seen an administration use a different form of government like this to withhold information since the Nixon administration. This is appalling what they are doing.”
Furthermore, McCarthy highlighted the allegations made by a credible whistleblower currently in the employ of the FBI. The whistleblower claims that both Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, received bribes from a Ukrainian energy company. McCarthy criticized the FBI for not taking any action based on this information. He also mentioned sworn testimonies from IRS agents who alleged that the Biden family “got treated differently” during the IRS probe.
One example of this special treatment, according to McCarthy, was the appointment of US Attorney Weiss as a special counsel by the Biden Justice Department. McCarthy accused Weiss of letting the statute of limitations run out on significant tax issues within the Biden family.
