As Election Day looms on the horizon, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the mainstream media is sweating bullets over the possibility of a Trump landslide. While the old saying goes that “the media tells the truth,” the reality appears to be far from that. Instead of reporting with objectivity, outlets like CNN and MSNBC seem more akin to a poorly written script from a political thriller, filled with twists that only serve to confuse.
A former Soviet-born individual once remarked that while Westerners assumed Russians were oblivious to government misinformation, the truth was quite the opposite. Americans, he argued, were the true victims of media manipulation, blissfully unaware of the agenda being pushed by mainstream outlets. Fast forward to 2024, and it seems those comments have aged like fine vodka—ironic, given that most of the American population is now consuming media with the same cynicism Soviet citizens practiced while reading Pravda.
In previous decades, media bias was often brushed off as an occasional misstep, but recent experiences have revealed a chronic condition. Many conservatives recall the days when they would grumble about biased reporting but felt helpless to fight back against the media monopoly. However, thanks to the rise of talk radio, social media, and the internet, those days are well behind. Voices like Rush Limbaugh made it possible to take on the media with humor and ferocity.

Enter Donald Trump, the self-styled Orange Bomb-Thrower who didn’t just play in the same sandbox as the media—he flipped the entire sandbox over. In stark contrast to politicos of yesteryear who preferred to tiptoe around media criticisms, Trump dove in headfirst. This boldness has emboldened conservatives nationwide to declare, “Enough is enough!” Gone are the days when a tepid response sufficed; nowadays, it’s all about going for the jugular.
Of course, the media is desperately now trying to spin the narrative. When they talk about contests being tight or politicians having “women problems,” it’s code for desperation on the other side. The formula is straightforward: if the mainstream media claims something is a “pure toss-up,” it might just be code for a Republican leading by a country mile. Their discussions about how “to get through election season without despair” are just cries for help, indicating how bleak their outlook really is.
As the clock ticks down to Election Day, the undeniable conclusion is that the left is trembling at the thought of Trump reclaiming the White House. Although the outcome may be uncertain, the clear trend indicates a significant challenge for Democrats. With the kind of media coverage they’re facing, it feels like 2024 could just be the year that the GOP swings back with a vengeance, crushing any liberal hope left in the dust.
