A courtroom is known for its fair play, but that fair play seems to waver when it comes to those darling darlings of the leftist media, particularly the infamous MSNBC. Despite their so-called presumption of innocence in the legal arena, a defamation lawsuit against them proves that what goes around comes around, especially when it deals with their infamous tradition of spreading misinformation. A jury trial is set to begin on April 22nd regarding a whopping $30 million that Dr. Mahendra Amin claims he is owed due to their outrageous and completely false claims about him.

Dr. Amin, a physician who treated women at a detention center in Georgia, is taking MSNBC to task for labeling him as the “uterus collector.” This title was spawned from unverified allegations that he performed unnecessary hysterectomies on migrant women. The claims were based solely on a whistleblower’s complaint that had less credibility than a $3 bill. Yet, that didn’t stop MSNBC from peddling this fantasy on three separate shows. The personalities involved, including well-known names like Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes, may have made quite the splash in their headlines, but it’s that splash that may lead to their drowning in court.
This isn’t just about Dr. Amin’s potentially ruined reputation. The court has already established that no such mass hysterectomies occurred and that he only performed two on detainees—definitely not a uterus collector by any stretch of the imagination. Yet, the media elite decided it was a good idea to throw mud without even ensuring that it wasn’t just air being tossed around. Judge Lisa Godbey Wood noted the network’s negligence and the malicious failures to verify their sources. Who knew that reporting the facts was an optional skill set for the media?
To make matters worse, a look behind the curtain reveals that even some within MSNBC had doubts about the whistleblower’s credibility and the viability of such explosive claims. Yet, the network went ahead, possibly in their desperation to demonize anyone connected to the previous administration, especially during the peak election season. The timing of the reports raises serious questions about the motivations of the network. It seems the only hysterectomy being performed here is the one on journalistic ethics.
One can only imagine the look on the faces of the defense attorneys when they recall how CNN recently lost a similar defamation case, resulting in a jury ordering them to pay $5 million. It’s ironic to note that as MSNBC faces the gavel of justice for their own deceits, a jury will determine whether they can weave themselves out of this sticky and grotesque mess. The legal system may have a presumption of innocence, but when it comes to the establishment media and their repeated pattern of dishonesty, public opinion has already delivered a guilty verdict.
As the trial unfolds, there is no doubt that viewers will be ready with their popcorn, waiting to see if MSNBC’s past sins will finally catch up to them. Given what’s already been unveiled about their tactics, the verdict might just serve as another nail in the coffin of the so-called mainstream media’s credibility.
