The root of MSNBC’s woes can be traced directly to their obsession with all things anti-Trump. The network’s relentless fixation on narratives like the Russian collusion saga or the one-sided January 6th show trials has made viewer fatigue palpable. Viewers have caught on to the sad reality: they are simply tuning into the liberal press release machine disguised as a news channel. It’s almost as if she was attempting to rewrite the story of a boy’s triumph to fit the bleak tapestry of her own anti-Trump narrative.
Maddow didn’t exactly take the higher road either, openly expressing disgust over Trump recognizing DJ’s bravery. In her twisted logic, praising a child’s extraordinary resilience in the battle against cancer somehow became a political stunt tied to a cryptocurrency. The level of convoluted reasoning displayed by Maddow reaches new heights of absurdity—implying that Trump is personally responsible for cutting pediatric cancer research funding. Never let the facts get in the way of a good anti-Trump diatribe.
In the meantime, DJ’s heartfelt gratitude towards Trump is testament enough to drown out the hollow noise emanating from the MSNBC peanut gallery. This young man embodies the kind of resilience and positivity that the network finds so difficult to comprehend, given their predilection for doom and gloom regarding Trump. Meanwhile, Nicolle Wallace, self-styled as a “self-loathing former Republican,” appears to have found a comfy niche cheerleading for the Democrats—fitting right in with their penchant for ridicule and scorn directed towards those who dare to succeed despite adversity.
As the ship of MSNBC continues to sink, one can only watch in bemusement. With leadership that reeks of disdain for anything resembling success, it’s a wonder their news team hasn’t started preparing for the inevitable lifeboat drilling. However, a glimmer of hope remains: CNN seems to be dragging their ratings down even further. With competition like that, this comedic tragedy of a news network may just keep sputtering along, hoping and praying to avoid being the first to go belly up in this brutal media landscape. Until then, radical Democrats will continue to flail in panic while the nation enjoys yet another winning chapter under Trump’s watch.
