In a surprising turn of events, Alex Soros, the heir to his father’s leftwing non-profit empire, found himself rubbing shoulders with none other than former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Capitol Hill. Soros, clearly starstruck, couldn’t contain his excitement, posting a photo of the two together online and gushing about Pelosi being an “American hero.” It’s anyone’s guess what the dynamic duo discussed during their rendezvous, but what we do know is that it conveniently took place just days before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Capitol Hill.
Now, here’s where things get interesting. Apparently, Soros is laser-focused on what’s happening in Ukraine, having “daily contact” with the Soros Foundation in the country. Mark Leonard, the director of the European Council on Foreign Relations, spilled the beans to the Washington Post, revealing that young Soros is knee-deep in discussions with different governments regarding their policies towards Ukraine. It seems like this Soros family affair is more than just philanthropy.
But wait, there’s more! If you thought cosy meetings with Pelosi were the zenith of Soros’s political escapades, think again. According to the White House visitor logs, Soros has had a staggering 20 meetings with President Joe Biden’s administration. Yes, you read that right. He has graced the hallowed halls of the Biden White House 15 times and met with officials on 20 separate occasions. Now, call it a coincidence, but this privileged access seems to come in handy given Soros’s profound interest in Ukrainian affairs.
And if all of this weren’t eyebrow-raising enough, Soros decided to publicly declare war on “MAGA” and the possibility of a Donald Trump comeback in the 2024 presidential election. In an op-ed for Politico, he warned that a Republican victory following the MAGA playbook could spell disaster for European unity and undermine their efforts in response to the Ukrainian conflict. It looks like Soros is determined to use his connections and resources to keep Trump out of the White House at all costs.
While some may argue that Soros is just a concerned citizen exercising his political activism, the frequency of his meetings in Biden’s White House and his vocal opposition to conservatives certainly raise some valid questions. Are we witnessing a strategic alignment of powerful left-leaning figures who are bent on shaping political outcomes both in America and abroad? It certainly appears that way. Strap in, folks.
