In a stunning display of self-righteousness and delusion, the California Governor and supposed “Republican” Gavin Newsom had the audacity to critique the recent GOP debate. Newsom, who fancies himself a troll and has made a name for himself by defying logic and common sense, had no qualms in belittling the candidates on stage.
With his arrogance on full display, Newsom dismissed the debate as nothing more than an XFL game and a JV team going up against the professional campaign of former President Donald Trump. It’s truly laughable how Newsom tries to undermine the impressive performance and leadership of President Trump, who continues to enjoy an unprecedented 60 percent approval rating among GOP voters.
Meanwhile, President Trump strategically chose to skip the chaotic spectacle and instead delivered a speech to auto workers in Michigan who are currently on strike. This move left the Biden camp scrambling and feeling outmaneuvered, as they saw the leading Republican looking past the insignificant candidates on stage and setting his sights on the general election.
But instead of acknowledging the political prowess of President Trump, Newsom smugly wondered if the other candidates even realized their feeble attempts to change the course of the GOP primary were futile. He mockingly questioned if they understood that they were wasting everyone’s time. It’s clear that Newsom is blinded by his own arrogance and cannot fathom the popularity and strength of President Trump.
In a surprising turn of events, Newsom announced that he would not be entering the Democratic primary against President Biden, despite his previous speculations. Instead, he pledged to support the aging incumbent, who consistently trails President Trump in head-to-head polls. Newsom, ever the attack dog, plans to continue his charade in November when he will debate Ron DeSantis on Fox News. It’s a desperate attempt to elevate himself by going up against one of President Trump’s leading rivals.
President Trump, true to form, hasn’t yet shared his unfiltered thoughts on the debate. However, his Truth Social account shared clips of DeSantis defending the border wall, memes poking fun at Chris Christie’s weight, and a poll showing that he won the debate by a landslide without even being present. It’s a testament to the overwhelming support and admiration the American people still have for our great President.
As Newsom and his ilk continue to spew their misguided opinions and play political games, it’s refreshing to see President Trump rise above the noise and maintain his unwavering strength. The GOP debate may have been chaotic, but the true victor remains clear – the one and only Donald J. Trump.
