Oh boy, hold onto your hats folks, because it looks like New York City Mayor Eric Adams has once again taken center stage to complain about the unfair burden his precious sanctuary city is facing due to the ongoing border crisis. I mean, seriously, can someone please hand the guy a tissue? It’s almost comical how he continues to cry about this while expecting the rest of the country to foot the bill.
According to Adams, his sanctuary city, which only makes up a measly 0.05% of the landmass in New York state, is housing over 99% of the migrants. Wow, talk about a disproportionate burden! But you know what? Maybe, just maybe, if New York City didn’t go out of its way to declare itself a sanctuary for illegal immigrants, they wouldn’t be dealing with this problem in the first place. Just a thought.
Of course, Adams hasn’t missed a beat in begging the federal government for more money. Because why would he take responsibility for his own city’s decisions and pay for the consequences himself? No, no, that would be too much to ask. Instead, let’s just expect the hardworking American taxpayers from all across the country to bail out the Big Apple.

But guess what? Even New York City’s attempts to relieve the pressure by sending migrants upstate have resulted in disaster. I’m talking about alleged sexual assaults by migrants at a shelter in Erie County. That’s right, folks. The very same migrants that Adams is crying about have exhibited dangerous and criminal behavior. But hey, who cares about the safety of the American people when it comes to virtue signaling, right?
And let’s not forget about the lovely behavior of these migrants trashing hotel rooms and attacking staff. It’s heartwarming to know that the city is considering placing shelters near schools, parks, and residential areas, right? I mean, come on, what could possibly go wrong? But hey, as long as Adams can continue to pander to his liberal base and maintain the facade of being a compassionate leader, who cares about the safety and concerns of the New Yorkers who actually live and work in these areas?
So there you have it, folks. Another day in the life of Mayor Eric Adams, where he laments the unfairness of his sanctuary city bearing the brunt of the border crisis, while completely failing to acknowledge the consequences of his own policies. As a conservative, it’s frustrating to see these liberal leaders play the victim card while disregarding the safety and well-being of their own constituents. Adams, it’s time to own up to your own mistakes and stop expecting the rest of us to clean up your mess.
