Former President Barack Obama was caught on the golf course in Hawaii, swinging his clubs instead of helping President Joe Biden with his floundering campaign. According to the Daily Mail, Obama had the audacity to give Biden some advice about his 2024 campaign, warning him not to underestimate the incredible power of former President Donald Trump.
Obama apparently had a secret lunch meeting with Biden at the White House, where he animatedly cautioned him about the very real possibility of Trump winning a rematch. And let’s be honest, folks, Trump is a force to be reckoned with. He has a loyal base, a polarized nation, and support from conservative media. This is not a man to be taken lightly.
One of Obama’s suggestions was for Biden to move more of his advisers from the White House to his campaign headquarters. And frankly, that’s just smart. It’s time for Biden to surround himself with people who actually know what they’re doing, instead of relying on the same old Washington insiders.
But Obama didn’t stop there. He also advised Biden to be more aggressive against Trump. And he’s right again. Biden needs to stop playing nice and start hitting back hard. Trump may have his flaws, but he knows how to fight. If Biden wants any chance of winning, he needs to take a page out of Trump’s playbook.
And let’s not forget about Biden’s approval ratings. They’re abysmal. According to FiveThirtyEight, Biden’s average approval rating is a paltry 38.2%. That’s worse than Trump’s approval rating at the same point in his presidency. Let that sink in for a moment. The American people are waking up to the fact that Biden is not the leader they thought he would be.
And then there’s the issue of Biden’s age. The man is pushing 80, folks. Axios reported that his years have caught up with him, and it’s starting to show. He may try to downplay it, but voters have serious concerns about his ability to govern effectively. Let’s face it, folks, Biden is not getting any younger, and the American people deserve a leader who is up to the task.
So, President Biden may not want to hear it, but Obama is right. He needs to take Trump seriously and start making some major changes to his campaign. The 2020 election was a wake-up call, and if Biden doesn’t step up his game, he and his supporters will be feeling the heartbreak in November.
