Former President Barack Obama recently took to social media to express his undying love for his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama. In a heartfelt Instagram post, he showered her with compliments, calling her “brilliant, kind, funny, and beautiful.” Oh, how romantic! It’s nice to see the former president being so open and affectionate…although, he seems to be conveniently tight-lipped when it comes to whether Michelle has any presidential ambitions of her own.
While Obama isn’t shy about gushing over his wife, he conveniently remains silent when questioned about her potential White House run. The Daily Mail reported that he mumbled some inaudible words when asked about it outside a restaurant in Los Angeles. Why the reluctance, Mr. Obama? Could it be that even you know how disastrous another Obama presidency would be for this country?
The speculation surrounding Michelle Obama’s presidential aspirations has been rampant, with even Republican Senator Ted Cruz voicing his concerns. On his podcast, Cruz predicted that the Democrat kingmakers might push aside Joe Biden and parachute Michelle Obama into the presidential race in 2024. He exclaimed, “I view this as a very serious danger.” And you know what? He’s right!
Michelle Obama running for president would undoubtedly be a nightmare for conservatives. Her policies would likely continue the destructive liberal agenda that we fought so hard against during the Obama era. We don’t need more government control, higher taxes, and wasteful spending. We need leaders who prioritize individual liberties, limited government, and economic freedom. Michelle Obama doesn’t fit that bill.
So, as much as Barack Obama wants to spread lovey-dovey anniversary messages on social media, it’s clear that he’s conveniently dodging the question about Michelle’s presidential ambitions. Perhaps he knows deep down that it’s a bad idea, not only for his own legacy but for the well-being of this great nation. We don’t need another round of failed liberal policies. We need a fresh start with leaders who truly represent the values of the American people.
