Pete Davidson Slams PETA Meddlers – Gets Puppy, Outrages Left

The left just can’t seem to let people live their lives without sticking their noses where they don’t belong and trying to dictate how we should live. In their latest attempt to control our lives, PETA’s Senior VP of Cruelty Investigations, Daphna Nachminovitch, decided to shame comedian Pete Davidson for purchasing a Cavapoo puppy instead of adopting from a shelter. Nachminovitch even took a jab at Davidson’s appearance, insinuating that he is not handsome enough to deserve anything other than a stray dog.

Davidson, however, was not having any of it. He left a voicemail for Nachminovitch that was later leaked to TMZ, telling her exactly where to shove her opinions. Davidson explained that he is severely allergic to most dogs and had to get a specific breed to avoid allergies. Moreover, his mother’s dog had recently died, and Davidson wanted to cheer her up by getting a new pup. It seems like doing a good deed is not enough for PETA, who has previously been found to have euthanized hundreds of animals in their shelters.

PETA, apparently not content with just making a public example of Davidson and his grieving family, issued a statement claiming that “there’s no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog.” But while some breeds may cause fewer allergies, Davidson knows his body the best and knows which breeds he is not allergic to. Instead of offering sympathy for Davidson’s loss, PETA demanded that he should have adopted a stray instead of buying a puppy. Because obviously, selling dogs is the equivalent of exploiting child laborers in sweatshops.

It’s time to stop letting the left control every aspect of our lives and telling us what we should and shouldn’t do. Whether it’s who we should date or what dogs we should adopt, we must learn to stand up for ourselves and our rights. Pete Davidson perfectly exemplified that in his voicemail to PETA. It’s time to stop bending over backward for these control freaks and live life on our terms.
