Poll Reveals Lackluster Support for Biden Spending Initiatives

New polling data indicates that President Joe Biden’s recent spending bills, including the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, have not resonated with voters as he hoped. The survey, conducted by Politico-Morning Consult, reveals that only around a quarter of voters believe that these bills have positively impacted their community.

The CHIPS and Science Act, a key piece of Biden’s agenda, received even less support, with only 24% of voters reporting a positive impact in their community. Additionally, voters are split on the impact of Biden’s federal spending on infrastructure, with a plurality stating that it has had no impact on their community.

Furthermore, the survey shows that voters are divided on who has done more for infrastructure improvements, with a significant portion attributing these achievements to former President Donald Trump. The poll also highlights voters’ pessimism about the current state of the economy, with a majority expressing that the economy is worse off than it was four years ago.

These survey results come as a blow to the Biden administration, especially as polling averages in swing states and nationally suggest a lead for former President Trump. This feedback from voters underscores the challenges President Biden may face in gaining traction for his second term bid.
