Democrats are hard at work spinning tales about President Trump’s so-called low approval ratings, but reality has a funny way of getting in the way of their narrative. It turns out that Trump’s numbers are looking significantly better than during his first term, all after just over a month in office. And if the latest polling is any indication, it would be wise for the left to adjust their talking points before they’re left eating their words.
A poll conducted by Harvard CAPS/Harris shows Trump with a 52% approval rating against 43% disapproval among registered voters. Let’s not kid ourselves; when it comes to being popular, that’s not exactly bad news for the Trump camp. It even sits better than what 538 and RealClearPolitics have aggregated, giving Trump a net approval rating of +0.8 and +1.8 respectively. Last month, those numbers looked decidedly different, but Democrats seem determined to ignore any signs pointing toward an incoming momentum shift.
Not only is Trump’s approval solid, but voters also show favorable friendliness with a 50% favorable rating compared to just 43% unfavorable. By all accounts, the American public appears to be taking a more measured wait-and-see approach towards Trump, especially as their views on Biden, Harris, and the rest of the Democrat circus continue to tank. Signs indicate that Democrats are in for a rude awakening unless they start rethinking their entire strategy.
In classic bipartisan fashion, voters express overwhelming support for Trump’s agenda. Of the eleven issues brought to the table, a vast majority of voters—yes, even some Democrats—back ten of them, with Republicans supporting all of them. Case in point: a whopping 81% support for deporting illegal immigrants with criminal records, which includes an eyebrow-raising 70% of Democrats. Apparently, Democratic politicians are so far removed from their voter base they might as well be living on Mars.
Other eyebrow-raising support numbers show that 76% of voters want to cut waste in government spending, again with over 60% of Democrats in favor. And, of course, Trump’s bold executive order closing the border received similar backing—76% support, with 61% of Democrats saying they’re all for securing the border. It appears that nothing rallies people together quite like the prospect of increased national security. Meanwhile, the Democrats continue to fling their tantrums as if a bipartisan consensus isn’t standing right under their noses.

On policy issues, Trump continues outpacing Biden in public confidence. While Biden’s numbers are languishing, Trump is scoring high approvals in critical areas like immigration and foreign policy, showcasing a stark contrast to the previous administration’s mismanagement. In a surprising twist, even after being subject to incessant attacks from the left, 58% of voters now say Trump is performing better than Biden, including some brave souls hailing from the Democrat camp. It’s clear that voters want results and the left can either face the music or stick their heads back in the sand.
To top it all off, the Democratic Party is facing its own crisis. With a record low approval rating of 36%, that’s a staggering 15 points lower than the GOP. The polling shows that while the Republican Party enjoys a net positive approval rating, the Democrats are consistently under fire from their constituents. With three out of four voters expressing dissatisfaction towards the party, it seems the left is battling an uphill climb that grows steeper by the minute.
