In a recent interview with Fox & Friends, Senator Rand Paul revealed that he has taken “extraordinary steps” to pursue criminal charges against Dr. Anthony Fauci. The Senator accuses the former White House medical advisor of lying under oath about gain-of-function research related to Covid-19. However, Senator Paul claims that federal prosecutors have obstructed his efforts due to partisan bias within the legal system.
Senator Paul explained, “I’ve gone to the local U.S. attorney in D.C. to launch a probe and press criminal charges against Tony Fauci. The problem is there are partisans throughout the legal system. People are seeing that you don’t get prosecuted if you’re a Democrat in this administration, no matter what you do.” He criticized Attorney General Garland for refusing to take action.

This dispute stemmed from Senator Paul’s discovery of private emails by Dr. Fauci suggesting that the National Institute of Health suspected a lab leak in Wuhan, China. The agency has admitted to participating in gain-of-function research through its collaboration with EcoHealth Alliance. U.S. intelligence officials previously indicated a high level of confidence that the virus originated from a lab in Wuhan, a claim initially dismissed by the mainstream media as xenophobic.
It is believed that Chinese officials attempted to cover up the lab leak by destroying evidence and denying access to health inspectors. This has made it nearly impossible to definitively determine the origins of the pandemic. Since leaving the White House, Dr. Fauci has capitalized on his fame, selling a memoir worth $5 million. He continues to advocate for mandatory vaccinations and lockdown measures to combat the virus.
