In a heated exchange on the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) unleashed his fury on Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) for failing to reprimand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after her shocking display of nude photographs of Hunter Biden during a congressional hearing. During the hearing, Greene, in an attempt to shed light on alleged political influence in the investigation into Hunter Biden, revealed explicit photographs of him engaging in sex acts. Raskin condemned this action as a “completely gratuitous and irrelevant display of pornographic images” during a televised hearing. He argued that if Greene’s actions are not considered a violation of decorum, then there are no rules of Congressional decorum.
Raskin penned a scathing letter to Comer, expressing his disappointment and calling on him to take action. He emphasized the need for Comer to assert that Greene’s use of pornographic images violated House rules and to prevent future incidents of this nature. Raskin also criticized Comer for dismissing the significance of Greene’s actions and only expressing support for her.

Opinion: Rep. Greene’s display of the explicit photographs was indeed highly inappropriate and should be condemned. It is concerning that a member of Congress would resort to such tactics during a hearing. This incident raises questions about the level of decorum in Congress and the willingness of some representatives to use any means necessary to further their political agenda, even if it means disregarding decency and respect.
