Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Democrat from Michigan, recently made waves by speaking at an anti-Israel conference in Detroit, Michigan. The conference was linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), an organization designated as a Foreign Terror Organization by the U.S. government. Now, this event wasn’t your typical bake sale or charity car wash. It was more like a gathering of the who’s who in the “Israel is the bad guy” club.
Seems like she needs to be tried for insurrection.

Tlaib took the stage and didn’t hold back, criticizing President Joe Biden and some of her fellow lawmakers for not doing enough to stop what she called the “genocide” in Gaza. She urged them to step up their game, though it’s unclear if she meant playing defense or offense in the game of politics. Over 3,000 people showed up to the conference from all over, ready to strategize and prepare for the next phase of their anti-Israel agenda. It was like the Super Bowl halftime show, but with keffiyehs instead of pom poms.
One of the speakers, Wisam Rafeedie, is no stranger to controversy. He is tied to the PFLP, a group the U.S. State Department has labeled as terrorists. Another speaker, Sana Daqqah, happens to be the wife of a PFLP terrorist who was involved in some pretty nasty business back in the day. It’s like a family affair, but with a touch of danger and intrigue. The kind of family you wouldn’t want to invite over for Thanksgiving dinner, that’s for sure.
The conference wasn’t all talk though. Sessions included topics like “Palestinian Resistance and the Path to Liberation,” “Confronting Zionism in Higher Education,” and “Zionism and U.S. Imperialism.” It was like a crash course in Anti-Israel 101. The event even had a vendor fair with Palestinian art and clothing, bringing a whole new meaning to the term “retail therapy.” So, if you ever wanted to buy a keffiyeh or learn how to shout “Down with Zionism” in three different languages, this was the place to be.
Rep. Tlaib’s appearance at this conference highlights her unwavering support for a “one-state solution,” which essentially means waving goodbye to Israel as we know it. While some may see her actions as bold and courageous, others may view them as reckless and harmful. But hey, at least she’s keeping things interesting in the world of politics, right? Oh, what a time to be alive!
